.“You’re stuck with me, Giselle, because I’m yours. And you sure as hell are mine.”I think I can live with that.“You’re here every night anyway. Why don’t you just move in?” I blurt out.He stills.“Are you sure that’s what you want?”I put my hand on his cheek.“Of course it is.Don’t you?”“I’d love to move in,” he admits.“I wasn’t sure if you felt the same way, and I didn’t want to rush anything.”I kiss his lips.“Then it’s settled. You’re moving in with us.”“Okay,” he whispers, kissing the top of my head.“Oh, and Tane?” I say, lifting my head up.“Yes?”“I love you.” More than anything.“I love you too, Giselle,” he replies softly.Chapter TwentyGiselle“When are you going to move all your stuff over?” I ask Tane. It’s been a week since we had the discussion, and I’m wondering if maybe he’s dragging his feet for a reason.Did he not want to move in? Maybe I’m pushing too hard?“I’ll get everything on the weekend,” he says.I look around my much smaller house.“Are you okay with living here? I know it’s nothing much compared to what you’re used to.”“I’m happy here.If we need a bigger house we can buy one.Don’t stress about it,” he says, flashing me a boyish smile.“Ah, and there’s something else.I don’t think you’re going to like it and you’ll probably overreact …”“What is it?” I ask, trying not to think the worst.“Well, I kind of paid the mortgage off on this one.”I gasp.“You didn’t?”He grins.“Of course I did.I’m living here, aren’t I? Did you think I wasn’t going to contribute? I’m not a loser.”“You didn’t?”“I did,” he replies.“You don’t need to make a big deal out of it.You know I’m not hurting for money.”“That’s beside the point, Tane!” I reply.I can’t believe he did this. It’s a nice, generous gesture, but a little over the top. Also, he should have spoken to me about it before he did it.Before he came back into our lives, I did everything myself and made all my own decisions for Parker and me.I’m not sure how I feel about this sudden loss of control.“Giselle—”“This is very generous but it’s too much,” I tell him, shaking my head.“How am I supposed to accept this?”His eyes narrow on me.“This is why I wanted to surprise you.I knew you would be stubborn about it.”“So you knew I would have an issue with it but you still did it anyway?” I ask, placing a hand on my hip.“I hoped that in time you would realise that I was trying to do something nice for you,” he says after a long pause.“I’m not going to live here and not pay anything.”I roll my eyes.“No need to be dramatic.Contributing is one thing; paying off an entire mortgage is another!”“Are you arguing just for the sake of it?” he asks, crossing his arms over his chest.Am I? I have no mortgage anymore.I don’t know whether to jump for joy or strangle him.His eyes crinkle.“Is the fight over now? Can we make up?”I laugh at his hopeful expression.“What did you have in mind?”His eyes darken at my sultry tone.“You on the kitchen table? My face between your legs?”My eyes widen at his dirty talk.“If you want me, Tane Miller, you’re going to have to catch me.”I bolt through the hallway before I even finish the sentence. He catches me before I hit our bedroom, lifts me in the air and throws me over his shoulder like I weigh nothing. He slaps my ass, the sound echoing through the silence.Depositing me on our bed, he lifts up my skirt and pulls down my red panties without saying a word. Then, without further ado, his mouth is on me, licking and teasing until I come apart. His pants are off and then he’s sliding into me before his lips capture mine, his tongue synchronising with his pelvic thrusts.I lift my hips up, silently begging for more.He rolls over, still inside me, leaving me straddling him.I get to work instantly, lifting and lowering my hips, taking from him just what I need.I lean my hands back on his hard thighs and let my head fall back, closing my eyes and losing myself in the moment
